A B2B marketing agency where deviation is the standard.

When most brands are running the same outdated marketing strategy,
deviation is the only real option.

B2B marketing is a fairly small world with just a few, really loud voices. That’s a recipe for echo-chamber thinking. When only about 1% of LinkedIn users share posts – and those posts result in 9 BILLION impressions, that’s a ton of people consuming information from a select few.

So, it’s pretty easy to understand how the bell curve of B2B marketing experiences becomes a bit crowded. Average is popular. Many people love the comfy middle ground, where the herd is safe.

But that means there are huge opportunities on the fringes, where brands can create new and innovative experiences. Whole marketing programs full of communications that make your audience feel something.

A handful of brands push for the edges. They know there’s risk involved. New experiments don’t always work. But they also know that’s where the magic is. And on a practical level, they know that they can’t compete with brute force media budgets anymore. We serve those brands. Together, we create new types of content - in new channels. Or, we resurrect old ones. Anything that creates energy - and elbow room. Our clients are all similar in a really fantastic way: they’re B2B marketing leaders committed to purposeful deviation from the herd.

We’re Standard Deviation.

SmartSaaS

Among the many projects we’re working on, we created a (fake) B2B SaaS company named SmartSaaS. Imagine if Robot Chicken (Adult Swim) exclusively lampooned the daily challenges of B2B marketing - and ran the show on LinkedIn. It’s the oldest form of animation (stop motion) mixed with the newest form of animation (generative AI) to create something entirely new, unique and fun.

SmartSaaS has all the normal B2B marketing (and Zoom call) challenges. But this quarter, things are looking up. The CEO may not see it, but the team is slowly building a better B2B marketing engine.
